This center has comfortable and spacious guest rooms and meeting rooms, as well as beautiful gardens and grounds to walk. It is in a centrally located area: easily accessible from St. Louis, MO or Chicago and only 10 minutes from the Springfield, IL airport!
In this Facilitator Training, you will get a deeper understanding of the many ways to offer SoulCollage® workshops to groups and individuals. Learn how to listen with 2 minds….the beginner’s mind as well as the Facilitator’s mind. Find out what is involved in creating a safe space for people to do this deep, exploratory, and yet fun process. Although there will be some time for making new cards, in the Facilitator Training we will focus on preparing you to be a wonderful facilitator, rather than card-making. One area that we will focus on is making the most of your cards, and using them for readings. In this way you use your intuition and “read” your cards for guidance and self-knowledge.
You will participate in an actual reading, trying all 3 roles (and you will learn more about what these roles are in the training.) Discover ways of asking open-ended questions that cannot be answered with a simple “yes” or “no” answer.
An important part of creating a successful workshop is to use marketing to your best advantage. In the training, you will learn more about using the internet and other marketing tools to promote your SoulCollage® offerings such as the Facilitators yahoo group, social media sites managed by SoulCollage® Inc, your own mini-web page on the SoulCollage® website; and much more.
You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the Training. Once you receive your certificate, you may use the SoulCollage® trademark and logo in doing individual or group work according to the Principles of SoulCollage®. Thus, SoulCollage trains, rather than “certifies”, facilitators. To receive a “Certificate of Completion” you must attend the training from start to finish.
Schedule and What To Bring
The Facilitator Training begins with registration at 10:00 am on Friday, followed by our first session which begins promptly at 11:00 am. The workshop ends at 4:00 pm on Sunday. There are sessions Friday and Saturday evenings until 9:00 pm.
Be sure to bring all your SoulCollage cards. You do not need to bring images, as those will be provided. If you are using 5 x 8 inch cards there will be blanks provided. If your cards are another size, bring some blanks. Glue, scissors and some xacto knives will be provided, but you can bring your own if you have special ones you like. Bring layers of clothes as the weather can vary.

Please prepare for the training by:
- Reading Seena Frost’s book, SoulCollage® Evoloving, available here: www.hanfordmead.com
- Listening to Seena’s two CDs , Introduction to SoulCollage® and Facilitating SoulCollage® in Groups, also avialable here: http://hanfordmead.com
- Reading and familiarizing yourself with the “Principles of SoulCollage®”. A copy will be sent when you register.
- Making a few cards in each suit for your own SoulCollage® deck
- These preparations are important so that you can experience your own card-making process before working with others who are learning to facilitate this process.
No degree or certification is required to take this training.
Audrey Chowdhury will lead you through the training weekend, using her unique, warm,encouraging style and her experience of facilitating SoulCollage® workshops over the past ten years. Audrey is a board certified, registered art therapist and SoulCollage facilitator/ trainer in Wisconsin. She has used this process in a wide variety of settings, with many populations.

Directions: conveniently located near the Springfield, IL airport (SPI) and Interstate 55. From Interstate 55, north or south, take Exit 100A (Clinton) and stay to the right for approximately one mile, following the signs to Camp Butler. Make a left on LaVerna Road, just before the railroad tracks, and continue driving one mile to the main, gated entrance to the Franciscan Life Center where Chiara Center is located. Follow the signs for Chiara Center parking.
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required upon registration in order to hold your place in the training.
Investment for this training is $685 (if payment completed by April 14, 2017) plus cost of Lodging and Food, which is $275. Total investment is $960. All rooms are singles with a private bath. (Doubles are available). Add $50 for payments made after April 14, 2017. Full payment is due by May 5, 2017.
The registration form will take you to Paypal, which you can use to pay. Please note that you can save $25 if you pay by check. Just fill out the form, click submit, and ignore the Paypal page that you are taken to. I will still get the form. Indicate on your form (under “special needs” that you would like to mail a check to me as payment. I will send you the address.)
Note: It is possible to arrive early and stay at the Center on Thursday night, for extra cost. Please tell me in the “special needs” box of the registration form, if you would like more information.

If you are a therapist (licensed ) who would like to use the SoulCollage® expressive arts therapy method with clients, or in groups or workshops, join this 24-hour Training to become a SoulCollage® Facilitator. Participants will learn how to compile appropriate art therapy materials and facilitate SoulCollage® with clients so that the clients may utilize SoulCollage® to:
1) Identify images that have personal meaning
2) Create collaged cards from those images
3) Utilize a gestalt process with their cards to access and integrate unconscious or unresolved therapeutic material.
The SoulCollage® Trainer will demonstrate and lead group discussion about the ethical use of the SoulCollage® method.
This course meets the qualifications for 24 hours of continuing education credits for LMFTs, LPCC, LEPs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. This program is provided by SoulCollage Inc., which is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs and which maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

The ATCB (Art Therapy Credentials Board) has for a long time accepted SoulCollage® Institute and SoulCollage Facilitator Training CEUs for continuing education credit for ATR-BCs, because these courses were accepted for continuing education credits by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences mental health licensure board (now awarded through CAMFT as above). Participants who need CEUs for ATR-BC licenses, please check with the ATCB. The fee for CEUs for this Training is $25.

Please review refund and cancellation policies below:
A full refund, less a $100 processing fee, will be given at the cancellation of a SoulCollage® Facilitator Training registration as long as the cancellation is received up to one month prior to the training. No refund or credit is given for cancellations made with less than one month notice, if you fail to attend, or if you leave the event early, unless someone is able to take yourplace at short notice from our waiting list. Some exceptions may be made for sudden incapacitating illness or family emergencies,depending on our agreement with the venue. You might be able to apply a partial credit toward another SoulCollage® Facilitator Training led by Audrey Chowdhury within the next 12 months.If you must make a last minute cancellation, you also have the option of offering your payment toward a scholarship fund which we are building.
